Mehrangarh Fort: have you even been to Jodhpur if you haven't been to Mehrangarh Fort? Built in 1460, its impressive facade has presided over the blue city for centuries.

Flying Fox Zipline: one of the best things to do in Jodhpur, a most exhilarating way to experience the blue city, with fantastic views along the way.

Jaswant Tharda: sit in the gardens, or try and spot kingfishers in the small lake. Inside, you can explore the beautifully carved white marble screens, so thin they seem to glow in the sunlight.

Chokelao Bagh: still wondering what to do in Jodhpur? Nestled at the foot of the Mehrangarh Fort, this 18th century Rajput garden has recently been restored with its traditional flowers and designs.

Walking Tour of the Old City: just why is Jodhpur blue? Find out on our walking tour, where you'll navigate the oldest (and bluest) corners of the old city. If you're wondering where to shop in Jodhpur, it's a great place to start.

Rao Jodha Desert Park: embark on an early morning guided wildlife tour or this striking expanse of volcanic rock below the fort walls and home to a variety of flora and fauna.

Bishnoi Villages: take a jeep out the city and explore the remote homes of this tight-knit desert community. United by their religious practices, you can watch traditional craft activities, like pottery and carpet weaving, as well as one of the traditional opium ceremonies.

Horse Riding: an hour's drive away, traverse the beautiful Rajasthani countryside on horseback. Subject to availability.

Osian Excursion: an oasis in the Thar Desert, about an hour and a half’s journey away. Home to has some of Rajasthan's oldest Hindu and Jain temples.

Camel Trekking: a popular activity at Osian, though a little 'touristy' it's a rather novel way to take in the sunset.
